Notices

It would be great if you could bring in any letters cut from newspapers or magazines for our PSHE project next week.

27th January - an artist will be working with you on our project 'A view from a Window'.

This week

Firstly, can we pass on a huge thanks to the parents who helped us with our fieldwork outing on Tuesday. It was great to be able to walk round in small groups with an adult guiding you. We were very lucky with the weather and we hope it inspired your interests in our new Creative Curriculum topic. Who knew that Geograpy could be such fun?

In English this week we have been turning fairy tales on their heads and with some fantastic results. Well done everyone for all your hard work. The teachers can definitely see some improvements in your spelling, punctuation and vocabulary choices. You are becoming real little writers!
Next week we will be having a go at writing explanations. Have you ever seen the word puzzle game show 'Countdown'? Look out for it. It might help!

In maths this week, both groups  have been developing their understanding of fractions. Next week Mrs Meredith's group will be working on measurements and Mrs Wright's group on addition and subtraction.

Also, don't forget if you would like to 'have a go' at sending a word document attached to your DBPrimary account we would love to receive one.  Hopefully next week we will be up and running again in the ICT suite.

Have a great weekend

The year 3 team
